Glenavon FC secures loan deals for Glentoran's Lorcan Donnelly and Jude Johnson
Glenavon FC has completed loan signings for Glentoran goalkeeper Lorcan Donnelly and winger Jude Johnson ahead of the 2026-27 Northern Ireland Premiership season. The Lurgan Blues finished 12th last season with 25 points (8W-1D-24L), and manager Michael O’Connor will hope the young talents can bolster his squad.
Who are the new loan signings?
Lorcan Donnelly, a 20-year-old goalkeeper, has previously played for Lisburn Distillery, Newry City, Ballinamallard United, and Carrick Rangers. Jude Johnson, a winger, spent last season with Championship side Annagh United, making 23 appearances. Both players have limited Premiership experience but are highly rated by Glentoran manager Declan Devine.

Devine believes the loan spells will provide crucial first-team experience. "These are two outstanding opportunities for Jude and Lorcan," he said.
