Glenavon FC are pleased to announce the signing of Ryan Waide from Carrick Rangers. The Belfast-born forward came through at Linfield and had spells at Ards, Carrick Rangers and Dungannon Swifts before securing a switch to Ballymena. The 26-year-old spent a season at Loughgall and joins the Lurgan Blues following a season back at Carrick Rangers last year. Speaking to Glenavon Media, Michael O'Connor explained the move for Waide. 'When we knew that 'Rooster' would be available it was a no-brainer. He's got pace to burn and is coming into the peak of his career. With Paul McGovern moving to Falkirk we needed to move to replace him and believe 'Rooster' has that potential. It's up to him now to prove that he can help get the goals we need to win the games to get back up.'
