Glenavon FC secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Loughgall at Mourneview Park on Friday evening. The result strengthens their grip on third place in the Championship, moving them to 17 points from nine games.
The win extends Glenavon's unbeaten run to three matches and marks their second consecutive victory. They now sit just three points behind league leaders Newington Youth with a positive goal difference of nine, having scored 22 goals this season.
Friday's performance was a strong response following a recent mixed run of form. The team's recent results include a 1-0 win over Newington Youth and a 1-1 draw with Ballinamallard United, but also a 3-2 defeat to Dundela earlier this month.
The squad will now turn their attention to the next challenge.
Glenavon travel to face Moyola Park on Saturday, 3 October. Moyola Park currently occupy 12th position in the table.
